  Van Emery has been a professional artist since 1965 with copious credits through the years including being named in "Outstanding Young Women in America".
She has numerous illustrations reproduced in the American Medical Journal, paintings on tour at the Smithsonian and paintings in collections throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe.
There are many of her murals in private residences, model homes, health spas, restaurants, churches, high schools, community centers and more.
Van Emery's professional career has included working as an art & crafts instructor and director at various skill levels for children and adults through Public Schools, Air Force Service Clubs, Officers Clubs, YMCA's Park and Recreation Dept. and Arts and Crafts Stores. There are many Art Kits she has developed selling thousands of copies world wide. She also teaches Private Lessons
